Week 2 is upon us and we got some exciting match-ups. Lets see who can shake things up.
Diamond Division
PFN (0-1) vs TC (0-1) - PFN showed up with a good team last week but not good enough as they lost a tough one to DS. So PFN will be looking for a quick bounce back against TC. Kerry and Sean will rally the troops week as no league can afford to start the season 0-2. Look for Ogges and company to lay a whipping on and undermanned TC league. But on TC's defense they did pick up Pommy, which certainly surprised BnR last week. Could Pommy bring some friends to TC and turn them into a contender instead of the pretender? Maybe in future weeks but not here. Prediction PFN 4-1
DS (1-0) vs BnR (1-0) - Ashton showed UIC last week that DS is ready to play with the big boys with the addition of Koty and a 3-2 win over my division favorite PFN. Ashton has also said he has some more rabbits up his sleeve, will he bring them out this week against BnR? Dina is riding higher then usual this week after her troops rallied from 3-0 down to beat TPL in MLP and tied them for first place. KC played the game of his life against Pommy in the decider and he will have to bring that game with him this week as well. BnR is not playing TC this week so they all better be ready. This will be a hard fought match that could go either way but Koty wins a game 5 against KC or David.
Predation DS 3-2
LPL (1-0) vs SP (0-1) - LPL didn't have to show much of what they have this season because FR decided to bring 2 players so the defending Diamond Champs had an extra week to enjoy their championship. LPL will show with their usual team of solid players and Tino knows where to play them after being with them for so long. Can LPL continue their winning ways? SP was a disappointment last week in a loss to PK where Pete didn't have his greatest team show up. SP will need to bring Ste, Kets and the rest of the crew if he wants to avoid going 0-2 on the season. Pete has had decent success against LPL in the past and his team shows and plays for him.
Predation SP 3-2
FR (0-1) vs PK (1-0) - FR showed with a whole 2 people last week. WTG FR you almost had a team, but keep trying and maybe you will get that 3rd. I heard their capt had college shit going on and he was ready to bring a team this week. I'm not holding my breathe because I would be dead. PK on the other had surprised me with their limited league activity and a 3-2 win over SP. Again I'm not sure how strong PK is and who will show up but PK will get this win.
Predation PK 4-1
Emerald Division
CM (1-0) vs 8BC (1-0) - CM defeated a no show EC last week so not to much to go on here. Alex is the work horse for this team and Annie has some inter league experience but I am not sure about the rest of the team. 8BC beat up on UO last week 5-0. Again I'm not sure how deep 8BC is because they seemed to win quite easily. This will end up being a close match but Lisa will have Alex close the deal on the 5th game.
Prediction CM 3-2
EPL (1-0) vs KBP (1-0) - EPL's roster looks like a who's who of Diamond Division caliber players with Ant, Charlie and others. They won a tough match against X8B a few days after the rest of the matches. I think the only team that can beat EPL is themselves. KBP won against a Jordyless MP team, which looks to be falling fast. Drew will need to bring all his boy's and their A games to stand a chance.
Prediction EPL 4-1
X8B (0-1) vs RM (0-1) - Im not wasting my time here. X8B will steamroll RM, if they even show up. The firepower that X8B has is just way to much for RM to handle. Hopefully they use this as a learning experience.
Prediction X8b 5-0
MP (0-1) vs EPC (1-0) - Quote from Jason "MP will not lose to EPC." I see bulletin board material here. Mp has the chance to be a good team. They made playoffs in PLC but they are fading fast in MLP. Can Jason and company keep it together? EPC picked up Crozzy which shocked some people but their team isn't much deeper then that. In a match of what seems to be 2 mid standing leagues I see MP holding on.
Prediction MP 3-2
EC (0-1) vs UO (0-1) - I don't EC showing up so congrats UO on your first UIC win.
Prediction UO 5-0
Good luck to all teams in week 2.
